New Year, New Career

After two years of lockdowns, homeschooling, working from home, and isolation, the new year promised so much. With a high vaccine coverage, surely we’d put those struggles behind us and make some real and fulfilling adjustments to our lives.

Then….

Omicron…

It arrived like an uninvited guest and lingered well past its welcome. Those who were hoping that 2022 would bring new opportunities, suddenly went back to ground. Whilst we have avoided lockdowns it is clear there has been a definite shift in mindset and avoidance has kicked in. Perhaps we were victims of Covid or perhaps just avoiding the virus as long as possible, knowing the perils of looking for a test.

Fear not… there is still time to fulfil your new years’ resolutions. As a Recruitment Consultant, I see a buoyant job market and opportunities out there. Through our research, the current market is even being referred to as BOOM time. So far at Gembridge, 2022 has started with a bang, plus a sense of optimism and opportunities in the ‘for purpose’ sector, particularly in the fundraising and leadership space.

Is 2022 a good year for a career change?

Our crystal ball says YES! From our market insights, we see more job advertisements, higher demand for talent, and movement in the NFP sector … If you have been contemplating a move, and taking the leap seems daunting, or you are pausing for the right time with everything else on your plate (or still COVID reasons), reach out to one of the consultants at Gembridge for a discovery call to discuss your experience, career aspirations, and opportunities. We have multiple roles now and on the horizon that may be aligned with your 2022 goals, and would love to hear from you.

So why not kick off 2022 as you planned?
